This is me in Copenhagen. Being an international man of mystery, I love to travel.

As a man of mystery and spot-on disguises I’m not hindered by a consistent historical perspective or conventions of writing.

If you’ve read any of my posts, you know I’m a stream of consciousness sort of guy and edit myself on the fly. So, if you read posts hot off the press, they have typos and mistakes galore–get over it, I’m a man of mystery. I’ll come back later and clean things up a bit.

Tip to serious bloggers: Not proofing is a bad idea, don’t do it…not, don’t do proofing, DO proof, don’t not proof…what? Would I let my college students do this? No. If you come back later you may find a new post or no post at all. My mom knows English grammar quite well (really good) and she’s probably not pleased and sometimes my characters cuss, but that’s them, not me, Mom. I’m thoughtful about word choice, so if you are offended, you’re probably not my target audience, but I love you regardless and hope you feel likewise. If you can’t like a post that uses “damn” or “crap,” I understand-I used to be you!

I love and respect the Bible and try to stay true to it in broad strokes, but if you haven’t figured it out, I typically have a Monty Python-esque perspective on what might have been going on between the verses.

Dear inerrantists and Bible-thumpers: I mean no harm. Lighten up. Jesus loves me, you should too.

I’m not too serious about this and I’ve been surprised by a following of any sort. Thanks, both of you. Makes my day.

In spite of the light content, when I get to the Tr8 part I’m thinking of traits that would make us (mostly me) better. I can be serious (click here for a life-changing event in my life). I’ve written two posts that were too serious and contentious — about sex and alcohol (see the sex page on the bar, I reposted some)– the Spirit had me take ’em down.

Church: Hmmm. Churches that sacrifice reaching for keeping are in trouble. I love NPM and Watermarke Church, but I don’t officially speak for them. I love teaching and working with others. Seminary was interesting, but institutional religion tends to turn inward.

International assignments: Argentina, Uruguay, Mexico, Britain, Scotland, Ireland, France, Germany, Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Grand Cayman, Austria, Switzerland, Greece, Italy, Spain, Turkey, South Korea, North Korea, Hong Kong, Macau, China, Philippines, and Malaysia.

You might see me, but I’m not there.

Vision: Making spies financially secure and to draw others into a growing relationship with Christ.
